Kailey Bree
Tattoo Apprentice (She/her/they/them)
A multidisciplinary artist coming out of Alberta University of the Arts graphic design program, Kailey Bree started her apprenticeship at Blue Mountain Tattoo early 2024, and has been tattooing since May 2024 under the mentorship of Saga Anderson. After an exciting summer of first ink, she has now expanded into bigger pieces in many different styles.
She likes to flex across anything colour: neo-traditional, new school, cartoony, and realism, but she is working on building a colourful, textured style inspired by graffiti writers. She likes to work with the subject matter of nature and animals, but really she just loves tattooing and exceeding the expectations of her clients. She works in script, traditional, black and grey, and really anything small scale to suit your needs. In terms of desired subjects she would love to do larger scale tattoos of hockey, movies, and animals! If you come into the shop you’ll learn she has a deep love for wolves and hockey, and you might get hooped into watching the game if the wings are playing.
Kailey Bree currently only works out of Blue Mountain Tattoo as an artist still in her apprentice stage, but will start traveling to conventions in 2026. Blue Mountain Artists do not tattoo anybody under the age of 18 regardless of parental consent.

Saga Anderson
RESIDENT ARTIST & CO-OWNER (He/Him)
2021 marks ten years in the tattoo industry for Saga and the beginning of Blue Mountain Tattoo with his wife and co-owner Heather. Having moved to Cochrane in 2019, they were excited to make this small, scenic town their tattoo base after a long career in Calgary. Located in the beautiful Bow River Valley at the foot of the Canadian Rockies in Alberta, the shop is only a half hour from the mountains in the new Embers of Fireside.
Saga and Heather normally travel extensively throughout the year to conventions across Canada, the US, and many other countries, competing, teaching seminars, and working with Saga’s international sponsors at tattoo conventions, comic expos, and other events. He is proud to be on the Cheyenne Tattoo Equipment [GER], Fusion Ink [USA], Secondskin Tattoo Aftercare [USA], Blackwork Gloves [USA] pro teams as a sponsored artist. If you visit the shop you’ll notice that he is quite the Star Wars and arcade fan...a bit of an understatement!
He normally books 6-12 months out and currently limits the scope of his work to large photograph-based color realism projects. Known for his vibrant, saturated colors and realistic compositions, Saga’s work is well known around the world and easily recognizable with his trademark style. Clients aren’t required to find photos or artwork for tattoos with Saga, just decide on the general movie, character, animal, person, place, or thing and he will help you design a work of art!
PS Saga speaks English and French and is happy to help you in either language!
Blue Mountain Artists do not tattoo anybody under the age of 18 regardless of parental consent.
CO-OWNER (She/her)
You may see Heather behind the scenes on any given day in the studio taking photos, videos or working on the business end of things.
After years of working alongside her husband Saga as his assistant and bookkeeper they have opened a private tattoo studio in Cochrane Alberta where they call home.
